FRIDAY FAVOURITES

I have always enjoyed a good rollicking song sung by a strong male voice.  I think this one fills the bill rather well.  Marty Robbins singing "Big Iron".  I wonder do you remember it?

The tune was familiar, but don't believe I've ever seen or heard the words before. Enjoyed it! YAM xx

    1. You probably heard it somewhere in the dim distant past Yamini.
I enjoy it not so much for the words but the tune itself. xx

    1. He, and it, were very popular years back. It's a foot tapping tune isn't it?

  4. I've never heard this one. I think the only Marty Robbins song I know is A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation. I liked this one and I'll go to you tube and see if I can hear more.

  5. That was surprisingly upbeat considering the subject matter!

I had not heard it before, but just had to listen to the end to see what happened. Great voice!

    1. The words of course rather sad and yet I love the way the story is put into words. Yes, he does have a great voice.
